IBOAR ARTIST PROGRAM (IAP)

IBOAR ARTIST PROGRAM (IAP) provides dynamic support at every step of the creative journey for artists, researchers, curators with distinct voices in contemporary art. IAP takes the form of a career development program in art and research.
IAP is an ambitious program that involves more than 200 professionals around the world. More than 1,000 artists (mainstream/independent) are considered at first. In the following rounds, works are examined in more depth, looking at the vision of the artist about their own work and their motivations for his own ethic, research and production. Artistic quality, possibilities for development and the place in their career are considered. The jury (consisting of artists and theoreticians affiliated to the IBOAR as advisor) invites a few candidates for an interview with the selection committee, and forms the last round of the selection procedure. The committee confront the technical experts with challenging questions that frequently involve more than one discipline. This entails collaboration between several technical disciplines and, on occasion, outside expertise is called in.  At the mid-step, are selected 6 artists. At the final step 2 artists.
Thanks to IBOAR‘s Fund, and our generous supporters, we can support through the years the artist, creating site-specific works, exhibition, private views, and the international network.
